EVERYTHING ABOUT FLUORIDE TREATMENT
Professional fluoride helps prevent cavities and ease sensitivity. It strengthens weak spots in enamel and is safe for kids, teens, and adults—applied quickly at the end of your cleaning or checkup.
We apply a concentrated fluoride varnish or gel to clean teeth. It absorbs into enamel to remineralize weak areas and make teeth more resistant to acids. The whole step takes just a couple of minutes—no shots, no drilling.

How often?
Most patients benefit 2× per year during cleanings. Higher-risk smiles (e.g., frequent cavities, dry mouth, braces) may do best with every 3–4 months—we’ll tailor a plan.
You may notice a slight coating if we use varnish; it brushes off the next morning. Avoid very hot, hard, or sticky foods for 4–6 hours, then resume normal brushing and flossing. We’ll tell you if a prescription fluoride toothpaste or rinse would help at home.
Professional fluoride is used in precise amounts and applied topically. We follow evidence-based guidelines for children and adults and only recommend it when it makes sense for your smile.
We’ll review a clear estimate before treatment. Our procedures are often elective; flexible financing is available through CareCredit® and LendingClub®.
